Yes. As a requirement of the Victorian government all anglers, including clients on fishing charter vessels, are required to obtain a Recreational Fishing Licence prior to their charter. See Recreational Fishing Licence for more details.

To make your fishing charter experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible you will need to bring a few things with you:
– Fishing licence
– Food and drink
– Sunscreen
– Hat
– Wet weather clothing
– Camera
Also, if you are partial to motion sickness make sure that you take some tablets before the trip.
We provide all the equipment required, however if you have a favourite rod or lures you are welcome to bring them along.

Light Tackle – On board our vessels you are offered the very best in fishing gear and tackle. For squid and whiting we use Shimano Stradic 4000’s coupled with Tipan rods. Reels are for both left and right-handed anglers. All gear is maintained impeccably, allowing you to tackle the hardest of fighting fish knowing your gear will not let you down.
Medium and Heavy Tackle – For medium gear whilst fishing for snapper and gummy shark we use Shimano Saragosa 6000’s and 10,000’s on Tipan rods. For heavy tackle fishing (targeting tuna, king fish and shark) we supply Shimano Tiagra 16’s, 30’s and 50’s coupled on game rods. We have multiple 10kg, 15kg and 24kg outfits on board at all times and of course you are welcome to bring your own favourite outfits if you wish.

Alcohol is allowed onboard the vessel, however responsible consumption of alcohol is to be adhered to. The Skipper reserves the right to: refuse alcohol onboard if he deems it to be unsafe, refuse a passenger onboard the vessel if they are under the influence of alcohol and can cancel the trip with no refund.
